Dhanishta keeps time. The drum is both a musical instrument and a signal: this nakshatra is about rhythm in the broadest sense — knowing when to act, working well in a group, and a physical sense of tempo that often shows up as actual musical or dance ability. It is also the wealthiest of the nakshatras by classical reputation, and the two are connected: prosperity here comes from performance, from being in step with the moment.
